Paynesville – A 21-year-old man, Wolubah Lape, has been arrested in Paynesville in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old motorcyclist in Zorzor, Lofa County.
Suspect Lape was picked up on Monday in Soul Clinic Community, in Paynesville City, according to Lofa County Police Commander, J. William Johnson, who disclosed that the arrest of the murder suspect was made possible by a tipoff regarding the whereabouts of the 21-year-old.

PUNCH reported Monday that a commercial biker identified as J. Barkolleh Tokpah, was discovered dead on Friday, August 8, 2018, between Suclumu Town and Zorzor City, according to police investigators in that part of the country.
Officials of police quote family members as saying that the deceased motorcyclist is believed to have been murdered by an unknown individual who he took on his bike while riding from Yarpeah in Salayea District to Zorzor City with two tins of palm oil and another smaller container also containing oil.
Family members disclosed that the cyclist before being allegedly murdered was seen on three different occasions that faithful day transporting palm oil from Yarpeah to Zorzor.
It is believed that while he and the victim were on the bike, the alleged perpetrator used a single barrel shotgun with which he fired the biker from the back of his head before reaching the immigration checkpoint in Zorzor City around 7-8pm, according to the police.
PUNCH understands that Tokpah’s unknown assailant reportedly made away with the cyclist’s motorbike to an unknown destination after the commission of the crime.
Lofa County police chief told PUNCH Tuesday that the suspected murderer was arrested in possession of some personal effects of the slain motorcyclist.
The suspected motorcyclist-killer is currently in police custody in Monrovia, pending his transfer to Lofa for further investigation, according to the police.
