Monrovia: As the National Elections Commission gears up to today, release preliminary results of the just-ended Montserrado County senatorial and District #15 Representative by-elections, Abraham Darius Dillon continues to receive post-election victory applause, as Rep Samuel Enders becomes the second individual who stood as a candidate in the just-ended senatorial by-elections, to congratulate the the candidate of the four opposition political parties (LP, UP, ANC and ALP).

Punch FM/TV online service reported Tuesday, that independent candidate Dr. Kimmie Weeks, another candidate in the Monday senatorial race was the first to do so.

“Let me extend my congratulations to my brother Abe Darius Dillon for his victory,” Dr Weeks wrote on his official Facebook page Tuesday.

Weeks, who thanked his supporters, including members of his family, his friends, campaign team members, and volunteers for their time, energy and sacrifice put into the senatorial race, reiterated that a victory for any one candidate in the senatorial by-election is a victory for all seven of the candidates who vied for the lone Senate seat made vacant by the death of former Montserrado Senator Geraldine Doe Sheriff.

“I again congratulate my brother Abe Darius Dillon for his massive victory. It was an honor to be in a race with opponents who shared mutual respect for each other. Congratulations,” Dr. Weeks further wrote.

For his part, Rep Enders, a sitting lawmaker representing Montserrado District #6 in the House of Representatives, also sent Dillon a congratulatory message via social media on Wednesday.

About three hour ago, Rep Enders wrote on his official Facebook page: “Congratulations to Senator Abe Darius Dillon, ALP, UP, ANC and their collaborators for your victory. I wish you God’s blessings and Peace.”
