Fishtown, Rivergee County – Report from our Rivergee County correspondent says 13 Ivorian refugees have tested positive of the Covid-19 virus.
According to the county health team head, Dr. Trokon Washington, 178 Ivorian Refugees were tested between August 23 and 24, with 65 of them showing negative results.
Dr. Washington further disclosed that while health authorities placed nine COVID-19 infected patients in the Fish Town Isolation Unit for proper treatment, four persons are on the run.
While appreciating the Liberian National Red Cross Society for supporting the isolation unit while the patients are undergoing medical treatment, Dr. Washington urged the citizens of the county not to be panic as the health workers are working adequately in fighting the virus.
“While health workers are doing everything possible to treat those at the isolation unit, citizens should observe the health protocols that will curtail spread of the virus,” Dr. Washington cautioned.
